Gerald Russell Paiva, 69, of Hilo died Nov. 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired truck driver and security guard and member of Living Torah Hawaii Fellowship. Visitation 2-3 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 26) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 3 p.m. Graveside committal service noon Monday (Nov. 27) at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Russ Holton Robinson, 78, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 26 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Oxnard, Calif., he was a retired curator for California Well Sample Repository, geologist, treasurer and member of Kona Masonic Lodge, former chemistry teacher at Kealakehe High School and associate for Walmart and Lowe’s. Carol Jean Stepleton, 85, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 17 at home. Born in Whittier, Calif., she was a retired public school educator and member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization Sisterhood.
